CURRENT STATUSBruce Springsteen and the E Street Band have been performing since The Rising tour ended in 2003 at various venues and events. Bruce Springsteen played a December 2004 concert at Pittsburgh's Heinz Hall to raise money for victims of a recent flood. Allegheny County Chief Executive Dan Onorato announced that the "Flood Aid" show raised over $200,000 for the relief effort. Proceeds went to a Salvation Army fund dedicated to local flood relief. Bruce Springsteen will celebrate the release of his latest album, 'Devils & Dust' (April 26, 2005; Columbia Records) by touring the United States and Europe this spring. The tour will be entirely solo and Springsteen will perform in theaters and in arenas scaled down to theater format. This will be his first solo tour since the 1996-1997 'Ghost of Tom Joad' tour.
